Kristen Oliver

Kristen Oliver is in her second term as a municipal Councillor in the City of Thunder Bay. For over two decades, Kristen has worked in the political world. She began her career at the provincial level and jumped at the opportunity to shift gears and move to municipal government, noting that this is where you really form relationships with your community. A dedicated member of Thunder Bay, Kristen has offered her skills in assisting many important volunteer organizations. She is currently the Chair of the City of Thunder Bay Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and is a retired Chair of Confederation College Board of Governors as well as past president of Leadership Thunder Bay, a role that helped define her as a community builder.

Kristen is married to Rick and together they have two sons which is her driving factor in ensuring that Thunder Bay is a healthy and well-supported community. Kristen values the work of the DEK Foundation and joined the board to support their initiatives in building a social network to support people in addiction recovery.
